ABMA (Afowzo B'da Music Awards) 2015 Nominees

Hi everyone, its another year in music (wow its been that long already *sigh) and every year brings with it an array of earth shattering records (from songs I merely stumbled on to Chart topping hits). The point is this annual awards celebrate songs and artists that have caught and held my attention within the past twelve months (... and the fact that I get older and hopefully wiser ever year).
I cant believe this is the sixth edition of this! the driving force is the music. hopefully with this list, you get to listen to artists and songs that you may have missed out on in the past year and you get to know my overall musical sensibilities as far as last year goes. If you've ever gone through previous editions, you know a constant is that I always add new categories; this year is no different as the pop and RandB categories have been split into 2 and a brand new "EP" category has been added to make room for the abundance of dope records iv come across. Enough of all that, check it all out here:
(PS. That's me and the very talented TemiDOLLface, who is also a nominee this year)

A Grammy in the Cards for Carly Rae Jepsen?

Carly Rae Jepsen's "Call Me Maybe" became the soundtrack for endless viral online fun last year: U.S. infantry soldiers lip-synched to it in Afghanistan's Kunar Province. So did James Franco and the U.S. Olympic swim team. Models from Abercrombie & Fitch showed off their abs to it, as did hair-whipping Miami Dolphins cheerleaders. Dogs have barked the whole song. Parodies of it have been parodied.
Fellow singers from Katy Perry to Selena Gomez embraced the pop goodness.Even the Cookie Monster jumped on the "Call Me Maybe" train.
The song put 27-year-old Jepsen, who finished third on a season of "Canadian Idol," in the spotlight and on a path to potential Grammy gold. The monster hit is nominated for song of the year and best pop vocal performance at the Feb. 10 awards show.
