Bruno Mars Cuts a Deal in Drug Case

Bruno Mars Cuts a Deal in Drug Case

Like Chris Brown, Bruno Mars would like to clean off his slate at least a little bit before the Grammys next month. The seven-time nominee has cut a deal with Las Vegas prosecutors that will require him to plead guilty to felony cocaine possession in order to avoid jail time for his September bust at the Hard Rock Hotel. Not that the "Grenade" singer escaped the fallout entirely... PHOTOS: Mug-Shot Mania Mars, whose real name is Peter Hernandez, must appear in court on Feb. 4 to waive an evidentiary hearing and enter his plea, after which, according to the Clark County District Attorney's Office, he'll be fined $2,000, sentenced to a year of informal probation, 200 hours of community service and drug counseling. If he fulfills the terms of his sentence, his record will be wiped clean because he is a first-time offender and his offense was relatively minor. Mars was arrested in the wee hours on Sept. 19 after a bathroom attendant at the Hard Rock spotted a bag of cocaine on him and alerted security. He was taken into custody without incident and his arrest report states that he told police he had never used drugs before. He was facing up to four years behind bars if convicted of felony possession of a controlled substance, and the possibility of prison remains if he somehow runs afoul of the law over the next year

Lady Gaga releases "Born this way"

Hold your hourses, not the song, which is also the Title track of the new album and the supposed, first single. No! That gonna debut on valentines day (the same day as her highly anticipated Grammy performance). The very genus singer released the lyrics of the sure fire, anthem just to water the mouths of the million of fans, the world over and duely so.
Reports also have it that Gaga's 2010 "Fame Monster" is still selling big time and has currently passed the 5 Million mark while the albums final single "Alejandro" has broken another record for Gaga as the 7th Lady Gaga record to surpass the 2 Million mark in sales. No matter what 2011 brings musically, its easy to see that its gonna be a Gaga laced year. Rock On Radio Gaga!!!

FOR COLOURED GIRLS

FOR COLOURED GIRLS

Ever since “I Can Do Bad All By Myself” a lot of Tyler Perry fans have been a little aprihensive of his movies (although I don’t see why, that movie was good … not great but good) but this movie has kicked all cares in the air for me and im sure, millions of others that have seen it. What a story and what a cast. Every did a great job, no matter how small it was and it kills me that the movie was snubed by the golden globes and futhermore, the all mighty OSCARS! The main cast all deserved nomminations period.

As for whether Tyler did not fully convert the play well (the movie is based on a play with a longer, more darker title) I cant fully say well cause I havent seen it but in whatever case, WOW!!! Kudos to you Tyler!

NU MUSIC

NU MUSIC

I must first say that 2010 was a year that brought me closer to 9ja music with songs like “Fi mi le”, “Kele Kele Love”, “Something About You”, “Watin Dey”, “Strong Thing”, “For A Minute”, “Hola at ya boy”, “You know It”, “gimmie that”, “Scape goat”, “Only one” etc and my best 2010 9ja song was Dr. Sid’s “Something About You” (it had this pop thing that just made my fly … dunno what it was tho but great song). It seams that he’s gonna get me again with this mid tempo track, Over The Moon (feat. K-Switch). The song is just so feel good and altthough the video (like his other videos) underwelmed me but what struck me was how Tiwa savage and Dr. Sid just fully complimented each other. Go grab the track and the album.
