2012 BET Awards: Beyonce And Kanye West Lead Nominations

West scored seven nominations in total, mostly for his work with Jay-Z as The Throne. (The rapper did nab a solo nom for Best Video Director, as well as one for his featured work on Big Sean‘s “Marvin & Chardonnay. Right behind Yeezy is Beyonce with six nominations, including two nods for Video Of The Year for her clips for “Countdown” and “Love On Top”. Check out all the nominees below.
Nominees Chris Brown and Nicki Minaj have been announced as performers, though it has yet to be announced how many tears Brown will shed at this year’s ceremony.
The show will be hosted by Samuel L. Jackson and will air July 1 on BET.
