Jennifer Lopez signs to RedOne's record label

Jennifer Lopez has signed a new record deal with RedOne's label. The singer has penned a deal with the producer's 2101 imprint, which is owned by Universal Music. "This is like a dream come true for me," RedOne stated. "It was amazing to be able to work with Jennifer on ...
so many great records over the past two years and now it is such an honor to have her on my label. "She is a creative inspiration and a true global superstar artist who brings so much to everything she does. "I feel that this is historic and a wonderful opportunity to launch 2101/Capitol in this way." Lopez will release new single 'Live It Up' and her forthcoming tenth studio album through the label later this year. The star's new song features Pitbull and is available now in the US and on May 26 in the UK. I like the whole Latin collabo, im not a fan of her constantly featuring Pitbull (at this point, they will release a joint album in 2 years). Also another issue comes to mind, did Island Def Jam not want to renew her contract based on the sales of her "Love?" record?
