Beyonce's 'Mrs. Carter Show' Look Borrows from Kerli, Nicki Minaj

One of Beyonce's new looks has some pop history. The singer Kerli posted side-by-side images on Facebook on Thursday with herself and Beyonce both wearing what appears to be the same Amato Haute Couture dress, which is ...
adorned by intricate, winglike shoulder ornamentation. The Beyonce image is one of several of the singer wearing the line in her tour book. As one Facebook commenter pointed out, Nicki Minaj has worn the dress, too, showing off the look in her fantasy-themed "Va Va Voom" video.
Amato creator/designer Furne One has also created a number of pieces for Katy Perry, who wore a custom-made dress to the 2010 MTV Music Awards and commissioned several for her "California Dreams" tour. Beyonce's fashion faux pas isn't the first time her creative borrowing's been pointed out -- her "Single Ladies (Put a Ring On It)" and "Countdown" dance moves included -- but in this case, Kerli praised the diva's dress sense.
"I gotta say it's pretty damn cool to see Queen B Beyoncé rock something I spray painted white on my patio for Utopia," Kerli wrote on Facebook, referring to her recent EP. "The dress was originally nude and made by the brilliant Furne One ♥♥ Whooop!" Beyonce's "The Mrs. Carter Show" world tour is underway now.
