"irreconcilable differences" as the reason for the split and the news comes shortly after Aldean's spokesperson confirmed that the couple were dealing with relationship issues. The rep said last week: "I can confirm that Jason and his wife are having problems, but there is nothing more to share at this time. It's a private family matter, and we hope everyone will respect that he would like to keep it that way."
The problems in Aldean's relationship are rumoured to stem from an incident last year in which he was photographed embracing American Idol contestant Brittany Kerr, though the singer later claimed that the couple were "fine". Aldean and Ussery, who have been married for 12 years, are parents to daughters Keeley, 10, and Kendyl, 5.
