97,000 fans during the stint to generate the sales, while One Direction raked in £5m for their seven shows at the same venue, according to Billboard's Boxscore. What's more, Beyoncé made a further £2.9m from her three shows at Manchester Arena between May 7-9. The sales figures come ahead of the US leg of 'The Mrs Carter Show' world tour, which will start at Los Angeles' Staples Centre on June 28. Beyoncé embarked on the tour without releasing a new album to coincide with the shows, but is expected to release her fifth set later this year.
