A pre-order page for Kanye West's sixth solo album went up on iTunes and KanyeWest.com two days ago, Pitchfork reports, before both were quickly taken down. The briefly-public pre-order details provide the most reliable confirmation that the album title is Yeezus, a pun on the rapper's nickname "Yeezy" and Jesus.
The pre-order page listed 14 tracks without their titles, and including June 18th release date. Although West hasn't explicity confirmed when he's releasing the album, he did fuel speculation earlier this month on Twitter after posting "June 18" (which he has since deleted). Girlfriend Kim Kardashian and co-manager Don C also posted cryptic social media messages, including an Instagram picture apparently depicting the album artwork, that suggested the June 18th album release date.
After last week's promotional frenzy, which included the premiere of track "New Slaves" projected onto 66 buildings in 10 cities across the globe and Saturday's SNL performances of "Black Skinhead" and "New Slaves," it ended up being a short wait for more information on the album. more info soon
