Lil Wayne Logs Hot 100's Biggest Bow, Katy Perry Still No. 1

dips in airplay and sales. The song slips 1-2 on Radio Songs with 140 million all-format audience impressions (down 6%), according to Nielsen BDS. It holds at No. 4 on Digital Songs with 154,000 downloads sold (down 1%), according to Nielsen SoundScan. With the song's ascension to No. 1 last week, Perry became the first woman, and second artist overall, following Michael Jackson ("Bad," 1987-88), in the Hot 100's 53-year history to send five songs from an album to the top spot.

"Friday" holds off LMFAO's former six-week Hot 100 No. 1 "Party Rock Anthem," featuring Lauren Bennett and GoonRock, which remains at No. 2. Rebounding 2-1 on Radio Songs (141 million, down 1%) for a second frame in charge, "Anthem" is the first since Jennifer Lopez's "I'm Real," featuring Ja Rule, in October 2001 to drop from and reclaim the Radio Songs chart's top rank. On Digital Songs, "Anthem" descends 2-5 (148,000, down 8%).

Lil Wayne roars onto the Hot 100 at No. 3 -- his highest-ever opening rank -- with "She Will," featuring Drake, which launches atop Digital Songs (255,000). The song concurrently begins at No. 71 on Radio Songs (16 million, up 172%) and zooms 48-17 in its second week on R&B/Hip-Hop Songs.

"She Will," from Weezy's ninth studio set "Tha Carter IV," due at midnight Monday (Aug. 29), marks the rapper's fifth top 10 Hot 100 debut, pushing him past Eminem and Kanye West for the most such starts by a male artist in the chart's archives. Among all acts, he ties Mariah Carey for second-most top 10 arrivals. Taylor Swift leads with seven top 10 entrances.

"She Will" is the fourth Hot 100 entry from "IV" to reach the chart. "6 Foot 7 Foot," featuring Cory Gunz, reached No. 9 in January, followed by "John," featuring Rick Ross (No. 22, April) and "How to Love," which, after climbing to No. 5, drops 6-8 this week.

"She Will," Lil Wayne's second No. 1 on Digital Songs following "Right Above It," also featuring Drake (which debuted at No. 1 a year ago this week), ups his count to 79 career Hot 100 hits (including 15 top 10s). Only the "Glee" cast (156), Elvis Presley (108) and James Brown (91) have made more chart appearances.

At No. 4 on the Hot 100, Maroon 5's "Moves Like Jagger" featuring Christina Aguilera wins Airplay Gainer honors, despite retreating 3-4. "Jagger" struts 18-15 on Radio Songs (60 million, up 27%), while falling 1-2 on Digital Songs (206,000, down 6%).

Rounding out the Hot 100's top 10 are Nicki Minaj's "Super Bass" (4-5); Bad Meets Evil's "Lighters," featuring Bruno Mars (5-6); Foster the People's "Pumped Up Kicks" (8-7); OneRepublic's "Good Life" (10-9); and Britney Spears' "I Wanna Go" (9-10).

Lady Gaga boasts the Hot 100's Digital Gainer award, as "You and I" flies 96-35. Following the premiere of its video Aug. 16 and as airplay builds -- the song is the highest debut on Radio Songs at No. 58 (22 million, up 112%) -- the fourth radio single from "Born This Way" re-enters Digital Songs at No. 24 (56,000 downloads sold, up 261%).

Below Lil Wayne's lofty launch, six other songs enter the Hot 100, led by Lady Antebellum's "We Owned the Night" at No. 47. The title track and second single ("Just a Kiss" reached No. 7) from "Own the Night," due Sept. 13, bows at No. 22 on Digital Songs (59,000). "Night" enters Country Digital Songs at No. 5 and the airplay-based Country Songs chart at No. 40.

Other Hot 100 debuts include Nicole Scherzinger's "Don't Hold Your Breath" at No. 86. The former Pussycat Dolls lead singer assumes her role as judge on Fox's "The X Factor," which premieres Sept. 21; Awolnation's "Sail" (No. 89), which continues its cruise up the Alternative Songs chart, where it bullets at No. 5 in its 29th week; and, Colbie Caillat's "Brighter Than the Sun," the second radio single (following the No. 23-peaking "I Do") from her third studio album, "All of You," which began on the Billboard 200 at No. 6 last month.
