New Nicki Minaj “Tragedy” Is Short, Blunt Lil Kim Diss Track

Nicki Minaj has never been shy about her dislike of Lil Kim, and the new Nicki Minaj diss track, “Tragedy,” doesn’t mince words. Nicki Minaj’s “Tragedy” is short but anything but sweet, doing everything but calling out Lil Kim by name.

“You in the game fifteen, twenty – you was hot when ....
Shaq teamed up with Penny,” raps Minaj, referencing the early ’90s Orlando Magic pairing of Shaquille O’Neal and Penny Hardaway. “Man, you was magic, I mean, look at you now, ho – you’re just tragic. You a tragedy, you a parody, last name Ann, first name Raggedy.”
The latest salvo in the Minaj-Kim femcee duel isn’t particularly mind-blowing, although it is clever. In the past, Lil Kim has fired back after Minaj has instigated, so we’ll be waiting to see what she comes up with. Minaj has received a lot of flack for essentially being nothing more than an updated version of Lil Kim, so Minaj has tried to make it clear that she’s her own rapper.
