On the Floor" is a song by American recording artist Jennifer Lopez, taken from her seventh studio album, Love? (2011). Written by Chico de Oliveira, Pitbull and co-written and produced by RedOne, the up-tempo dance-pop song features vocals from American rapper Pitbull and contains samples of Kaoma's 1989 single "Lambada". "On the Floor" serves as Lopez's debut release with The Island Def Jam Music Group, after the singer ended her ten-year partnership with Epic Records. It is also the first single from Love? to be released by Island Records, and the second time that Lopez and Pitbull collaborated on a song; the first being Love?'s 2009 promotional single, "Fresh Out the Oven".
Although the album has been pushed back not to compete with Femme Fatal (britney's Album), i know Jlo is gonna put her best foot forward! keep on DIVA!!!!

On the Floor" made its Billboard Hot 100 chart debut at number nine, making it the sixth of nine top-ten hits which have featured another artist. Additionally it is her first top-ten hit in eight years, the last being "All I Have" with LL Cool J (2003). "On the Floor" was released for download almost one month after it was released to YouTube and radio stations. It logged first week sales of 170,000 copies, landing it at number three on the Hot Digital Songs chart. It beat previous Idol judge Paula Abdul's attempt to at relaunching her career with promoting a single on American Idol. Abdul teamed up with fellow judge Randy Jackson for "Dance Like There's No Tomorrow" in 2008, which only managed to reach number sixty-two on the Hot 100
