Accidentaly Beyoncé

Beyoncé Knowles walked away from an incident in London early last week that involved a collision between her parked car and an approaching taxi.

While on her way into Harrods department store for a shopping visit, the taxi nearly hit Knowles, but timing saved the singer from more serious harm. Knowles opened the door of her chauffeured Mercedes Benz S-Class to exit the car, but it was swiftly torn off its hinges by the oncoming taxi.
According to onlookers, the singer was shaken up after the taxi avoided hitting her by mere inches.
Knowles and husband Jay-Z were en route to Japanese restaurant Zuma when they made a stop at the department store. The couple was picked up soon afterwards and taken to dinner, where photos were snapped of Beyoncé laughing and appearing unharmed.

The Dream Drops Album & Wife

fter less than a year of marriage, The-Dream and Christina Milian have gone their separate ways.

The singer/songwriter and producer, whose real name is Terius Nash, confirmed his split from Milian today (July 12) to UsMagazine.com after photos surfaced of him being intimate with his assistant, Melissa Santiago, over the weekend.  Nash and Milian were married last September and welcomed a baby daughter, Violet, in March.
"Terius 'The-Dream' Nash is saddened to announce that his marriage to Christina Milian was unsuccessful," said his rep in a statement. "The couple reached this decision in late 2009, but decided to keep the news private in efforts to protect their baby daughter Violet. They ask for consideration and respect for their family moving forward." On June 29, Milian sent a Twitter message in support of her husband's just-released album, "Love King." "Everybody go pick up that LOVEKING album from THE-DREAM ASAP!" she tweeted. "Support my boo!"  The-Dream deleted his own Twitter account a few days earlier, after receiving criticsm for an interview with Parlour Magazine in which said he that wasn't helping to raise his newborn daughter. "I don't because my "helping out" turns into expectations," he said. I'll get Violet on a late night maybe one or two times, but after that, no. If Christina's tired, call the nanny, call Violet's granny. We got people."

OMAWUMI; Wonder Woman To The Rescue

Where do i begin witht his debut masterpeice who says she stumbled into music (if so then we all should stumble right in with the hope of doing what she has). my apologies for not listening to this when it first came out but now that iv had a taste of the 'Wonder Woman' experience, i can truely say that Miss Omawumi is worth all the hype. this seventeen track debut c.d. boasts of a fusion between culture and exposure beyond what the average nigerian c.d. can offer any listener. the album first track lets us in on her funny side and believe me its the first and last time youd be laghing because youd be amazed at the beauty the songs posses.
what i also found intriguing was the fact that this particular album is quite simple in its composition, themes, messages and structure, yes! expecially in its structure. songs like "Ma fi mi sere" and "when breeze blow" show how simple songs can have the most impact.

another thing i found verry captivating about the album is that its devided basically into two parts "9ja" & "beyond"; the "9ja" part basically comprises nigerian antics, slangs, catch phrases and even proverbs and from these elements transend into "the beyond" which literally gives an out-of-this-country appeal to the album with songs like "Into the music" and my personal favourite in the album, "I miss my baby" which coincidentally, were produced by my favourite producer, Cobhams Asuquo.

the cherry on the top of this "Smoothie" was the song for the niger-delta sector, "Niger Delta 1 (featuring Eric Arubayi)" and the divas encore "Same Guy (featuring Waje & Kel)". these songs, though very different, generate the same vibe at that point in the album which is the final electrifying touch to the otherwise perfect peice.

in conclusion, great work for equally combining the right amount of genres but, i would have expected her to swim into deeper emotional themes of her life beside the general "love" and "rags-to-riches" themes (can't blame her art that is not commercial is just art which is no good expecially in nigeria) so cudos to Omawumi and this is a must have to add to your collection. This is in fact, an international album worth accolades; A true masterpeice.

Queen Nicki to release anticipated LP soon

first! let me count the ways i love Miss Minaj; is it the animated rhymes that she spits or is the fabolous hair colours that she displays for your horror. Nicki is our very own black Lady Gaga and she is here to stay. when i first heared her i immediately remembered missys antics (it would be dope if they and lil kim cut a joint together). she is art..... hip hop art if u know what i mean.
her single, "Your Love", sits atop the Rap Songs chart for the second straight week. When the song did hit no. 1, the rapper became the first female artist, without a guest appearance, to reach the top since Missy Elliott did it in 2002 with "Work It." Despite the performance of the single, and her countless guest appearances on other artists' hits, Nicki has yet to drop her own album ... but it's coming! The Young Money First Lady finally announced an official release date this week of ... November 23rd. "Yes. It's time. November 23rd," Nicki tweeted (@NickiMinaj). Next thing up for the rapper will be the release of a music video for "Your Love," which was reportedly shot in Los Angeles over the Fourth of July weekend. the album is gonna be bonafied hot cause she rocks

Goth Grail

Now hold on a minute! 9ja is totally stepping up! this is the kind of exposur these talents are supposed to be getting. i loved the whole concept of the cover and i have to commend Genevieve for this innovative peice. pleasantries aside, the clothes did not jump out to me and Kate henshaws dress was infact not befitting enouph for her calliber (it should have been given to Ini edo .... no offence). the poses did not compliment each other at all and it was not the best wayt to show off the clothes and their figures in the clothes. the "Goth" concept was nice as compered to the usual "Celebration of trad" that is now becomin a drag to me (although i can see some elements of trad here). i must say the the best "high-fashion" pose goes to "Africas-Most-Popular-Actress" Genevieve (love you girl) she struck it fabolously. i want to see a cover that features fashionable male entertainers soon so magazines better get on that ASAP

Thank Me Now

first of all, Drake is worth all the buzz hes been getting and i didnt get to this conclusion until i listensed to "thank me later" hes debut album. the album reminds me of the feeling i had when i first listened to kanye west's "Colledge Dropout". i remember feeling like "thank God" finally some hip hop for me! Drakes album is one than comprises elements that a normal hip hop album would not, he must have learnt something from Kanye's "808 & heartbreaks" cause on this c.d., he sings, raps and creates noumerous imageries for diverse listeners so even if you dont like hip-hop or rap, there is still stuff in there to capture your ears and mind. On "Thank Me Later" Drake talke on issues of events that have been happening since "Best i ever Had", his meeting Rihanna, relationship with fame and money, how he wants to marry Nicki Minaj "just so we can say we did it". Even Jay z offers him some advise on how to deal with fame elements. the album features iconic guest apearances from Alicia Keys, Swizz Beats, Young Jeezy, The-Dream, Jay-Z, T.i, Lil Wayne and Nicki Minaj. I Smell Grammy

A jurney to the sands of time

hey yall. sorry iv not said nadda for a bit, my MTN stck is faulty so i gotta go out to get to yall. today i wanna tasalk about the movie i saw yesterday. PRINCE OF PERCIA was one of those ready for summer movies that to the best of my discretion, came out good as the movie was edgy and also had a funny side. jake did a great job as "Dustan" and the acrobatics was outstanding. the storyline of him getting into trouble and trying to clear his name as well as the brother of the king being the villan, was infact predictable and dates back to stories as old as time. but this particular story was well equipped to fight off dryness and boardom.... i mean it was as if we were there with the rest of the cast and only a few movies can pull that off. hope all the hard work pays off with the revenuen gotten back. cant wait to see "death at a funeral"
